When I am no longer here
and I have forgotten myself,
when I cannot see familiar faces,
when every one becomes a stranger,
I will remember you without my own knowledge
because you exist in more than my memory...
you exist in the flowers, the trees, the soft layer of mud under my feet...
you exist in the wind, the night, the moon, the stars, the day, the sun, the atmosphere...
you exist in the sea, the water, in the clouds, in falling snow flakes, and in ice...
you will always exist for me,
even when I am no longer here...
my cells converted to dust, and every bit of my memory buried,
your existence will transcend my life, and my death...
