THE GHOST: And now, Don Juan, no regret:
since you throw away as well
the moment you are given yet,
come down so with me to hell!
DON JUAN: Get you hence from me in this pass!
Release me, release my hand,
for still the last speck of sand
remains in my life-sand-glass.
Release me, since if is deed
enough a point of contrition
to give a soul the salvation
for all the eternity indeed,
I, Holy God, trust in Thee;
if is my evil appalling
Thy mercy is boundless and calling;
Lord, have compassion on me!
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Admirable es la proeza,
de divino auxilio es signo,
verdaderamente es digno
de atención y de sorpresa
traducir en lengua inglesa
unos versos tan solemnes
y dejar con ello indemnes
su vigor y su grandeza.

y sus méritos, perennes!
